Global professional services company Aon, which offers risk management, reinsurance and human capital consulting, has announced it will form a strategic alliance with an insurtech called Claim Central.

It is hoped that the UK-based company will be able to streamline its claims management capabilities to improve customer experience thanks to the insurtech.

Claim Central’s technology makes collaboration easier by using live streaming, live chat, aerial imagery, online payment methods and more.

Andy Marcell, CEO of Reinsurance Solutions at Aon, stated: “Aon is committed to helping clients navigate the insurtech ecosystem and adopt new technologies that advance their strategic initiatives.

“Claim central is utilising technology to make a meaningful impact in the area of claims management, and this is increasingly important for our (re)insurer clients as they manage volatility following another active year for global natural disasters.”

As part of this initiative, Claim Central will open up an Innovation Centre in Florida.

Brian Siemsen, Global CEO, Claim Central, said: “Our goal with the Aon partnership and the opening of our Innovation Centre is to make claims transformation and innovation easier for insurers and reinsurers.

“This is an opportunity for Aon’s clients and Claim Central’s other insurer customers to concentrate more fully on maximising operations and reaping the full benefit offered by new insurtech.”
